We have a lot to look forward to this year. And it’s a good thing, because there are many shows I’m addicted to that won’t be releasing until next year. I’m hoping some of these might curb my needs. lol
April 10
-Better Call Saul (AMC)
If you loved Breaking Bad and would love to see some of those characters revisited, then this show is definitely for you.
April 14
-Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return (Netflix)
This show was amazing in it’s original form and I can not wait to see it revitalized with Felicia Day and Patton Oswald.
April 15
-Doctor Who (BBC America)
This is the last season with Peter Capaldi and I’m sad to see him go. I am looking forward to seeing Doctor Who with a fresh start and a new showrunner with Moffat leaving after this season.
April 19
-Fargo (FX)
I was such a huge fan of Fargo the movie and this show stays true to that same feeling. The casting is always amazing and you can look forward to Ewan McGregor this season!
April 21
-Bill Nye Saves the World (Netflix)
Everyone’s most beloved childhood educator got his own show and gets to grace the small screen again.
April 24
-Gotham (FOX)
I’m expecting to see Nigma really come into his own this season and truly become The Riddler. It’s difficult to peg a favorite Gotham villain, but The Riddler is claiming a lead on this one.
April 26
–The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu)
I’ll be honest, my husband and I were about ready to cancel our Hulu subscription. The content they offered was underwhelming for having to put up with advertisements. Then we blinked and all of the sudden Hulu had presented interesting original content AND all The Golden Girls I could ever ask for. I had the opportunity to watch “Harlots”, another Hulu original, and I was really impressed so I’m definitely looking forward to giving “The Handmaid’s Tale” a shot.
April 30
-American Gods (Starz)
I’m really excited to see Neil Gaiman’s work be given this much attention; god knows he deserves it. I’m even more excited to see Ian McShane give another commanding performance. I just got around to watching Deadwood and now I really need some more of his brilliance.
May 5
-Sense 8 (Netflix)
Not for the kiddies, but a great show that I’m highly invested in.
May 12
-Anne (Netflix)
My oldest sister is a literature buff and always made sure I read certain books growing up. Anne of Green Gables was a series of novels she insisted upon so I’m really looking forward to watching this one 🙂
May 17
-Downward Dog (ABC)
Apparently this one is about a struggling young adult, but through the perspective of their dog. I’m intrigued enough by this concept to try it out.
May 19
-12 monkeys (SYFY)
-Unbreakable Kimmy (Netflix)
If I need to turn something on with the guarantee that it will make me laugh, I always go for Kimmy. I can’t wait to see more genius from the mind of Liz Lemon… I mean… Tina Fey.
May 21
-Twin Peaks (ShowTime)
A new adaptation of the old insanity.
May 30
-House of Cards (Netflix)
I really get a kick out of these political dramas.
June 4
-Fear the Walking Dead (AMC)
The spin off from everyone’s favorite zombie television drama
-I’m Dying Up Here (Showtime)
About the LA stand up scene in the 70’s. Stand up comedy has always been an interesting art and I’d love to learn more about it’s history.
June 9
-Orange is the New Black (Netflix)
Last we saw in this show, an inmate had a gun to a guards head in a very intense moment of rebellion.
June 12
-American Ninja Warrior (NBC)
Always pumped for this one.
June 19
-Preacher (AMC)
Seth Rogan should be proud of himself. 🙂
July 9
-Candy Crush (CBS)
The creator of Wipeout is the mastermind behind this gem.
July 16
-Game of Thrones (HBO)
I already know y’all are looking forward to this.
July 25
-Midnight, Texas (NBC)
From the author of the Sookie Stackhouse books, so True Blood fans should be thrilled.
October 31
-Stranger Things (Netflix)
THIS! THIS ONE! I’ve been ready for this, but it’s not til Halloween 😦 You can read my blog about what to expect from this one here!
