Star Wars and Disney to Open New Star Wars Parks in 2019!

It’s everything I’ve ever wanted to have the privilege to experience. I’ve never actually been to a Disney park; money and time just haven’t permitted. But it has legitimately become a life goal to make it to Disneyland by the end of 2020. Why? I mean obviously it’s Star Wars related, but Disney has a lot of attractions based off my favorite fandoms and I’ve never quite had this sense of urgency to experience them. Because, in two years, Disney World Hollywood and Disneyland are opening their Star Wars lands and they are unique attractions indeed. They created unique cities that truly bring you to another galaxy.

Gizmodo says, During a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando this weekend, it was revealed that the fully immersive theme park areas will allow visitors to develop a reputation. That’s right. If you ride the attraction that pits the First Order vs. the Resistance, the side you pick will have ramifications throughout the park.”

Disney Parks Blog said, The team shared exciting new details about the story behind this mysterious destination somewhere on the Outer Rim — lying on the edge of the Unknown Regions. The remote village was once a busy crossroads along the old sub-lightspeed trade routes, but the prominence of the outpost has been bypassed with the rise of hyperspace travel. Now home to those who prefer less attention, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurers traveling between the frontier and uncharted space. It’s also a convenient safe-haven for others intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order.”

The parks are scheduled to open at Disneyland California and Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in 2019. Get a sneak peak of the exciting new worlds below!

It’s always been a fantasy of mine to be taken to alien worlds. I, not so secretly, want to be the Doctor’s companion. I want to be the Starfleet officer, the Stargate traveler, the lucky human that gets a taste of the universe. These parks won’t take me to space but it might be the next best thing!
