IT was one of the first horror movies I ever watched as a child, or at the very least, that terrifying clown was the first movie to ever truly give me nightmares. Needless to say, that’s why I’ll be holding this new film to a very high standard. Not much can outdo that kind of horror for me. When I found out Bill Skarsgard was cast for the role of Pennywise, my immediate response was, “Who doesn’t love a Skarsgard?!”

However, that in and of itself isn’t a guarantee that this movie will be good, but we do have some more concrete evidence that we can all get really excited about IT 2017 now!

King’s long time assistant Marsha DeFilippo took to the message boards recently to release this statement:

“Steve asked me to pass along that he saw a screening of IT today and wanted to let everybody know that they should stop worrying about it as the producers have done a wonderful job with the production.”

There you have it! The official trailer hasn’t been released yet, but now I’m starting to get antsy about it.
